FIVE WAYS TO PRACTICE YOUR FAITH WHILE ON VACATION

(Catholic Digest, June/July/August, page 20)

1. Don’t skip Sunday Mass - Make sure that your

vacation way from home doesn’t also entail a

vacation from your spiritual life.  If your trip includes a Sunday, research local parishes and plan so you can fit Mass into your day.  You can use MassTimes.org to find parishes near your vacation

destination.  Most parishes have websites where you can also check Mass schedules or download the latest weekly bulletin.

RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE NOTES

In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord recalls the commandment, 'You shall not kill' (Mt 5:21) and adds to it the proscription of anger, hatred and vengeance. Going further, Christ asks his disciples to turn the other cheek, to love their enemies.

(Cf Mt 5:22-39, 44).
