THE ROAD TO EMMAUS-WOMEN'S RETREAT
The annual women’s Emmaus retreat is quickly approaching! The retreat will be held the weekend of February 5 – 7 at the Blue Ridge Assembly YMCA in Black Mountain, NC. This is a wonderful opportunity to recharge your spiritual battery and connect with other women who want to learn more about their faith. AROUND THE PARISH . . .
-- Everyone in grades 8-12 is invited to join us on Sunday, January 10 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm for our annual BOARD GAME NIGHT. If you have a favorite card or board game, bring it, along with a friend for a fun evening. Guys please bring a 2lt drink and girls please bring a snack to share.
-- Did you know that the high school youth in our parish gather on Sunday mornings at 9:30? From 9:30 am until 10:30 am, a group of young people in grades 9-12 meet in the art room of the Parish Center to study the word of God and learn and discuss Church teachings on matters that are relevant to them and the world around them. Come and join them. Bring a friend and see what the Church has for YOU!
-- The youth of the parish in grades 8-12 are invited to go skiing on Monday, January 18th. We will leave Saint Paul at 8:00 am and return at 6:00 pm. We will Be skiing at Wolf Ridge, NC. The cost for ski rental, bus, lunch, lesson, and lift ticket is $86.00. Snow boards are also available for rental. Permission slips are in the Parish Center lobby and are due by January 10.
The RCIA group will begin meeting again on Monday, January 11th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room of the Parish Center. Our topic will be Mary and the Saints. Mrs. Bonnie Murray will be our presenter. A nursery will be provided for small
ST. PAUL INSTITUTE
Saint Paul Institute will meet on Wednesday, January 13 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the
conference room of the Parish Center. This presentation is the conclusion of a six part video/discussion series on how to navigate the challenges in the spiritual life called Keeping the Fire Alive with Father Albert Haase. The topic for January 13 is “Living In The Present Moment.” The Saint Paul Institute is an adult faith formation opportunity and all adults in the parish are invited to join us. Come and bring a friend. Refreshments will be served. There will be a nursery available for small children if requested. Please call 585-1858 in advance to request a spot in the nursery.
If your child is in grades three to seven and has not received the Sacraments of
Eucharist and Reconciliation please be sure to bring them on Wednesday, January 13 at 7:00 pm to the Parish Center library. We will begin to prepare the children to receive Sacraments in the Spring. Classes last one hour.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Mark the dates now for our annual summer vacation bible school. The theme this year is “Son Olympics” and the dates are June 20-24, 2016 from 5:30pm until 8:30pm each evening. VBS is for children in 4K to 6 grade. There will be an organizational meeting on Tuesday, January 19 for anyone that would like to help. The meeting will be at 7pm in the library of the Parish Center.
