 OUR LADY OF FATIMA

 

Bishop Robert Guglielmone has given his approval for the International

Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima to visit parishes throughout the South Carolina from April 30 - May 21, 2016.

The Statue will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gaffney on Monday

evening, May 16th beginning at 5:30 pm.  See schedule below.

 

 

 

As we approach the 100th anniversary of the

appearances of Our Blessed Mother to the shepherd

children in Fatima, Portugal, Our Lady’s messages are more urgent than ever.

FIRST COMMUNION

 

First Communion will be celebrated at Saint Paul on Saturday, May 7 at 10:00 am in the Parish Church. There will be no 9:00 am First Saturday Mass on May 7. There will be a Parent’s Meeting on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 pm in the Parish

Center. Rehearsal for First Communion will be at 3:30 pm on Friday, May 6.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

 

Sunday School—Today, Sunday, May 1 is the last day for Sunday School for this year. We hope everyone has a beautiful and faith filled summer. Classes will begin again on Sunday, September 11. Please watch the bulletin for details about registration in August. Thank you to everyone that helped make this year a successful one.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Youth Grades 8-12 - Downtown

Scavenger Hunt, Sunday, May 1, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Please join us at 6:30 pm for our annual downtown scavenger hunt. We will begin with hot dogs at the Parish Center at 6:30 and then break into teams for a fun filled run ( walk ) through downtown. This event is always a lot of fun and we hope you will join us.

 

Young Teens (grades 6,7,8) - Join us for food, fun, and fellowship Thursday, May 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We will meet in the Historic Church for Rosary at 6pm. After Mass we will have a Baby Shower for Birthright. Along with supper we will have lots of games and prizes. Birthright is a crisis pregnancy center. They assist mothers and their babies that are facing difficulties. Everyone is asked to bring a gift for a newborn to add to our basket. We would love for you to take this opportunity to share time with other Catholic Youth. This event is always a lot of fun and we thank the RESPECT LIFE GROUP from Saint Paul's for hosting it each year.

CORE TEAM

 

The CORE Team at Saint Paul the Apostle is a group of young people and adults that plan and implement events that minister to the young people in our Parish. If you would like to be a part of this team and you are in grades 10 and above you are asked to call Norma Stokes at 582-0674 or e-mail at

normastokes@stpaultheapostlespartanburg.org. We really need a few adults to serve with the team. If you can spare a few hours a week for this wonderful  opportunity please call. We will be accepting nominations through May 15.  Thank you.
