AROUND THE PARISH . . .
All youth in grades 8-12 are welcome to join us , Sunday October 25 at 6:00 pm. We will meet upstairs in the Parish Center for “Mystery Madness, a celebration of Halloween. Come in costume and bring a friend. Everyone is asked to bring their favorite
Halloween snack creation. Please arrange to be picked up at the church at 8:00 pm.
Come and join us if you have questions about joining the Church. We would love to have the chance to meet you and have you join us on Monday evenings as we examine many of the Church teachings and as we prepare for Sacraments. Our topic for
Monday, October 26, 7:00 pm. is Part 3 of The Creed. Norma Stokes will be our presenter. The meeting will be in the
conference room of the Parish Center. A nursery will be provided for small children.
SAINT PAUL INSTITUTE
The Saint Paul Institute is an adult faith formation opportunity and all adults in the parish are invited to join us. On Wednesday , October 28 at 7:00 pm. we will continue a study series , Catching Fire, Becoming Flame with Albert Haase, OFM. Father Haase is a former missionary to mainland China and the award winning author of six books. This six part video-discussion series will continue with “Seven Principles of Prayer”. Come and bring a friend. Refreshments will be served. There will be a nursery available for small children if requested. Please call 585-1858 in advance to request a spot in the nursery.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Please continue to pray throughout these 40 Days for an end to abortion and the culture of death we now are living in. We are praying for the special intention of the conversion of the abortionists and staff and that the Greenville clinic closes on or before Dec 12th, the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Rosaries for Life – Please pray the rosary throughout the month of October for pro-life intentions. Our deanery asks that we all pray for those life intentions we personally find most pressing in our society – abortion, euthanasia, death penalty, embryonic stem cell research, acceptance of poor prenatal diagnoses, etc. Let us know when you pray for any intention which seeks to build a respect for all human life in our nation and world by completing the Rosaries for Life form available near the baskets in the back of the church during the month of October.
Upcoming 40 Days Events Include: 40 Days for Life Closing Celebration will be held Saturday, Oct 31, 9:30 am, Greenville Women's Clinic. Prayer Warriors will participate in the Sanctity of Life Prayer. They will share testimonies from the recently completed campaign.

FREE HEALTH FAIR
Jesus Our Risen Savior and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine will be hosting a Free Health Fair with ten screenings on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church on Reidville Road. Flu shots will be available.
