TRANSITUS OF ST.

FRANCIS OF ASSISI

The Transitus is a Franciscan devotion to ritually remember the passing of Saint

Francis from this life into God. Join St. Michael the Archangel fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order on Saturday, October 3rd at 6:00 pm following Holy Mass in the Parish Church to commemorate this event.  St. Francis tells us “it is not fitting, when in God’s service, to have a gloomy face or a chilling look” and so, like good Franciscans, we will have some delightful refreshments in the conference room after the transitus in order to make tangible our  Franciscan joy.

YOUNG TEENS

All young people in grades 6,7, and 8 are invited to join us on Thursday, October 1st at 6:00 pm in the Historic Church for the

Rosary. After we will go to the Parish Center for  a hot dog supper, Karaoke, and other fun and games. Everyone is asked to bring their choice of pet supplies for the Spartanburg Humane Society. This can be for a dog or a cat. We will be presenting a basket in honor of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.
