During the Vacation Bible School program of La Fiesta de San Pablo, the children collected money for a clean water project sponsored by Catholic Relief Services (CRS). A donation in the name of the Children of St. Paul the Apostle in the amount of $125 was sent to ease the burden in Bolivia where an on-going project to serve the water and sanitation needs continues. Since 1955, Catholic Relief Services has worked with partners in the Catholic Church to improve the quality of life of poor Bolivians. Whether providing housing, water and sanitation systems, agriculture assistance, or emergency response, the work in Bolivia strives to strengthen the capacity of the communities CRS serves to take control of their own development and achieve long-term change. CRS works with primarily church partner institutions that respond to the country’s social and political challenges. Through the years, CRS Bolivia has helped to improve the quality of life of thousands of Bolivians, shifting focus from delivery of humanitarian assistance to an integral approach to development that strives to achieve long-term sustainability.
